Global hospitality group Hilton Worldwide has signed a deal to open a new 120-room all-suite DoubleTree by Hilton property in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The Hollis Halifax – A DoubleTree Suites by Hilton, formerly a Radisson Suite Hotel, is currently undergoing renovation and is expected to be fully converted by early September this year.
The ten-story hotel is the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Nova Scotia and will join several Hilton Worldwide hotels in Halifax, including the recently opened dual-build Hampton Inn by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton Halifax-Downtown.
Ian Carter, president for global development, architecture and design at Hilton Worldwide, said: "Hilton Worldwide is committed to growing our portfolio in Canada and our strong pipeline is representative of the country’s prospering travel and tourism sector."
Located in close proximity to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the hotel will feature an indoor heated pool and whirlpool, fitness center, business center, high-speed Internet access throughout and 3,500ft² of meeting and event space.
Duffy’s Steakhouse and Seafood restaurant will be available on site, and a variety of meals and snacks will be available through the hotel’s in-room dining options.
