Hyatt Hotels has opened Hyatt Regency Bloomington-Minneapolis hotel in Bloomington Central Station mixed-use development site near the Mall of America, US.

The hotel, owned by McGough and managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, is a part of the Hyatt Regency brand family and has 303 guestrooms, including 14 suites. It has 289 deluxe guestrooms.

Hyatt Hotels general manager Bently Kriewald said: "Located at the center of the Bloomington Central Station District, Hyatt Regency Bloomington-Minneapolis is thoughtfully designed to create effortless experiences that ensure guests, meeting planners and visitors can confidently leave every detail to us.

The Hyatt Regency Bloomington-Minneapolis has easy access to a park and outdoor spaces for entertaining, dining and celebrating, as well as the nearby Blue Line Light Rail.

"We want visitors and residents to feel the sense of contemporary generosity for which the Midwest is known."

The hotel’s amenities include fitness facilities, and 15,000ft² of multi-purpose meeting space.

Last month, Hyatt Hotels opened its first Hyatt-branded hotel in the capital city of Jilin, China.

McGough development vice president Mark Fabel said: "The hotel is key to rounding out the vision for Bloomington Central Station. We want visitors and residents to feel the sense of contemporary generosity for which the Midwest is known."

McGough is also the builder of the hotel and its project financing partners involve a group of local trade union pension funds, advised by WhiteStar Advisors and Bank of the Ozarks.
