InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has unveiled plans to build a new Holiday Inn property in downtown Montreal, Canada.

The property will be the brand’s 12th hotel in the greater Montreal region and the fifth Holiday Inn hotel in the city.

The property will be developed with an investment of $75m.

The 40-floor Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Montreal Centre-Ville West hotel will comprise 225 guest rooms, including 30 suites.

"IHG’s new property will provide on-site amenities, including free wi-fi, ample meeting space, a fitness centre and swimming pool."

It will be close to business destinations such as CIBC, IBM Towers, GCI and Concordia University, as well as cultural attractions, including Bell Centre, Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Central Station.

IHG’s new property will provide on-site amenities, including free wi-fi, ample meeting space, a fitness centre and swimming pool.

In addition, the hotel will include the Blue Line Bistro-Bar that offers casual dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The property is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2017.

IHG franchises, leases, manages or owns 4,900 hotels and 720,000 guest rooms in 100 countries, with more than 1,200 hotels in its development pipeline.
