InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of the new Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Downtown in Georgia, US.

The 11-storey, 130-room hotel, formerly known as the Centennial Inn Atlanta Hotel, underwent a $7m conversion that included enhancements throughout.

The hotel will offer a complimentary Express Start breakfast bar, SimplySmart shower, a lobby, a 24-hour business centre, a fitness centre and flexible meeting space which can accommodate meetings of up to 200 people.

The Holiday Inn Express Atlanta Downtown is managed by Luckie J. Management under a licence agreement with a company in IHG.

IHG said the hotel includes features in keeping with the $1bn Holiday Inn relaunch.

The relaunch programme was first announced in 2007 and creates a brand image as part of a drive to increase quality and consistency across the global portfolio.
