UAE-based hotel company Jumeirah Group has signed a management agreement with GT Land to operate its new hotel in Guangzhou, China.
Under the deal, Jumeirah Group will be responsible for the operations of the 169 luxury serviced residences along with the 207-room Jumeirah Guangzhou Hotel, which is scheduled to open in 2015.
Situated on the intersection of Hua Cheng Avenue and in the centre of New Pearl City Tian He District, the apartment and hotel complex is located in a commercial centre and upscale hotel district.
The area offers good transport links to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Pearl River Delta.
GT Land chairman Su Meng said: "Jumeirah’s arrival in Guangzhou will help satisfy the demand for luxury accommodation in Guangzhou’s developing upscale hotel district."
Jumeirah Group CEO and president Gerald Lawless said: "We look forward to bringing our STAY DIFFERENT™ promise to Guangzhou and establishing Jumeirah in a second key destination in China, one of the world’s fastest growing markets."
The five-star Jumeirah Guangzhou Hotel will house ten food and beverage outlets, a sky lobby on the 49th floor and a banquet and conference centre.
Amenities at the new hotel will include a Talise Spa, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, yoga studio and juice bar.
The hotel will also provide guests with direct access to luxury boutiques for shopping.
The serviced residences will be located in a separate low-rise West Tower and are also slated for opening in 2015.
