Marriott International has expanded its presence in Central India with the launch of a new Courtyard by Marriott branded business hotel in Bilaspur, Chattisgarh.
The new Courtyard by Marriott, Bilaspur is located in the commercial district of Bilaspur and represents the eleventh Courtyard property in India.
Courtyard by Marriott also has properties in Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Kochi and Bhopal.
Marriott International South-Asia area vice president Rajeev Menon said the company decided to enter Bhopal with the Courtyard brand due to the growing popularity and potential of certain key markets in Central India, and its entry into Bilaspur is a continuation of that growth strategy.
"Central India has been growing and attracting business visitors in a big way and Bilaspur being the country’s largest power generating hub is a city that is rapidly growing and offering numerous business opportunities," Menon added.
The hotel features 106 rooms including 70 deluxe rooms, 30 superior rooms, two junior suites and four courtyard suites with natural lighting, contemporary décor and modern amenities.
The new property includes the trademark MoMo Café restaurant, the MoMo 2 Go for customers on the move, MoMo 2 You dining concept and Bar Thirty Six.
Courtyard by Marriott, Bilaspur features banquet space with a pre-function area and indoor halls with the capacity to accommodate over 1,000 people.
