Marriott International has expanded its presence to Belarus with a new hotel, Renaissance Minsk Hotel, under the Renaissance Hotels brand.

Located in Minsk, the property is operated by an affiliate of US-based hotel management firm Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

Renaissance Minsk Hotel features 267 guestrooms with wood floors and panelling, a Penthouse Suite with two bedrooms, a living room and a private terrace, and a Presidential Suite featuring a kitchen, a private dining area and a Jacuzzi.

Culinary options at the hotel include the ‘Arborea’ restaurant and a lobby bar that serve various European, Belarusian and signature dishes.

Other facilities include a fitness centre with indoor pool, a spa with Russian and Finnish saunas, seven meeting rooms and a Grand Ballroom, which is said to be the largest in the city.

Public areas offer comfortable seating along with complimentary Wi-Fi and areas to work and socialise.

On-site navigators will help guests discover the best of Minsk, including bars, restaurants and historical sites such as Troitsky Suburb, Marriott said.

Renaissance Hotels is one of the 18 brands in Marriott International’s global portfolio; it owns 157 hotels in 35 countries worldwide.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts, a wholly-owned subsidiary of a 50/50 joint venture between subsidiaries of Thayer Lodging and Jin Jiang Hotels, manages around 400 hotels in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
