Chicago-based Oxford Capital Group is set to debut four rebranded hotels in the US state of California, following multi-million dollar renovations.

Situated in San Francisco, Hotel Julian San Francisco, SoMa House, Hotel Garrett and Hotel Fiona will welcome guests from mid-September and October 2023 with introductory pricing.

The debut of these rebranded hotels marks the post-pandemic revival and improvement seen in the city.

Oxford Hotels & Resorts president George Jordan stated: “As we expand our West Coast presence, we are proud to bring Oxford’s commitment to compelling design, quality service, and enjoyable and safe community-driven experiences to these new properties.

“SoMa will soon have new, vibrant public spaces and food and beverage experiences for locals and visitors to enjoy; somewhat of a “living room” for the neighbourhood.”

Oxford began renovating and repositioning these properties in 2022, with an initial focus on the guestrooms and lobby areas for a soft re-opening.

In late 2023 and 2024, the company plans to add four rooms at Hotel Garrett and nine rooms at SoMa House, along with new food and beverage facilities.

Hotel Julian San Francisco, formerly known as Hotel Vertigo and originally as the Empire Hotel, will offer 107 guestrooms.

Located in Lower Nob Hill, the hotel will also feature Carlotta’s – a two-storey, indoor-outdoor wine bar opening in early 2024 – and a two-storey arrival lobby.

SoMa House, formerly known as the Americania Hotel, will provide 152 guestrooms and a sports-themed gastropub concept, SoMA Social.

Amenities at the property will include a fitness facility, a heated outdoor pool and a courtyard area with a water feature.

Hotel Garrett, formerly the Good Hotel, will feature 121 guestrooms with an expanded lobby.

It will house a 4,200ft² restaurant space including two private dining areas, an open kitchen and a full-service bar.

Originally known as Carriage Inn, Hotel Fiona will be a 48-room boutique hotel featuring central air conditioning, hard flooring, new furniture, revived bathrooms and an updated arrival lobby.
