Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Park Hyatt Marrakech, heralding the arrival of the Park Hyatt brand in Morocco.

Park Hyatt Marrakech marks the eleventh Park Hyatt property in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, following the brand’s expansion across destinations such as Doha, Vienna, Istanbul, Dubai, Zurich, Milan and Paris.

Modern luxury, local heritage

Situated on a 19-acre resort at the base of the Atlas Mountains, Park Hyatt Marrakech offers a blend of contemporary elegance and Arab-Berber heritage, providing a haven for travellers seeking a sophisticated, yet authentically Moroccan experience.

Comprising 16 pavilions arranged around a central zeolite patio, Park Hyatt Marrakech embodies the personalised luxury synonymous with the global Park Hyatt brand.

The hotel also offers hyperlocal experiences for its guests, including breakfast in a hot air balloon in the Three Atlas Valleys and dinner in a Bedouin tent in the Agafay desert.

Contemporary design, Moroccan aesthetics

Marrakech-based interior designer Imaad Rahmouni has blended modern conveniences with Arab-Berber traditions in the hotel’s design.

The 130 guestrooms and suites showcase Moroccan touches, including traditionally woven Berber carpets and Tataoui motif headboards. The lobby features a suspension of hand-crafted ceramic pieces by artist Mounat Charrat.

Dining, wellbeing and event spaces

The new hotel offers a diverse range of dining experiences, including the cuisine of the TFAYA restaurant and the light, all-day menu at Le Pavillon.

The hotel also features a 23,000ft² spa, a fitness centre and pools.

Seven function rooms with desert-inspired aesthetics make Park Hyatt Marrakech a suitable venue for events and gatherings.

“True to the brand promise, we have created a refined home-away-from-home that unlocks unparalleled enrichment for guests, while upholding and honouring Moroccan traditions. The result is an intimate sanctuary of exceptional and magical surroundings for the curious and adventurous traveller,” said Pascal Leprou, general manager of Park Hyatt Marrakech, in a company statement.
