Planet Hollywood International has hired former TGI Friday’s India head Rohan Jetley to lead its hotels and resorts division in India and Asia, The Economic Times has reported.
This move comes as the global hotels and casino-styled resorts chain aims to expand its business in Asia.
Jetley told the publication: “India has the ability to take ten Planet Hollywood Hotels within the next two-three years, as a mix of either new builds or conversions.”
This resort chain was first established by entrepreneur Robert Earl.
Jetley further added: “We will be looking at local partners to develop the hotels. The market for the lifestyle hotel category is rapidly growing and has become the preferred category with global travellers.”
This expansion plan could see it teaming up with ancillary brands that are part of the Planet Hollywood group.
