Platzl Hotels, known for its unique Bavarian charm and personalised service, has announced a strategic collaboration with global hospitality technology innovator Shiji.

This partnership will see the integration of Shiji Enterprise Platform (PMS) and Infrasys Cloud POS into Platzl Hotels’ operations, aimed at enhancing the guest experience while streamlining hotel management processes.

With more than 200 rooms across 11 categories and several food and beverage (F&B) outlets, including the renowned Pfistermühle and Ayinger an der Au, Platzl Hotels has been a staple of traditional hospitality since 1956 in Munich.

However, to keep pace with modern demands, the hotel recognised the need to update its legacy systems.

Platzl Hotels general manager Heiko Buchta said: “We’re excited to embark on this journey with Shiji. Our partnership reflects our commitment to staying true to our roots while embracing technology to enhance our guests’ experience. Shiji’s integrated systems allow us to increase guest satisfaction while streamlining our operations.”

Shiji’s integrated PMS and point-of-sale (POS) systems were identified as the ideal match to handle this complexity, ensuring a seamless guest experience from booking to dining.

Earlier this year, Shiji also announced the deployment of its Infrasys POS solution at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy Hotel in Zurich and the implementation of an integrated suite of Shiji technology solutions by the Pfalzblick Wald Spa Resort in Germany.
