The site sits next to the Etihad Stadium and the Co-op Live arena, with Metrolink links to Manchester city centre.

It is the first project within Medlock Square to reach completion.

Accommodation includes standard, premium and deluxe rooms, as well as pitch view rooms that can be turned into hospitality suites on matchdays.

The hotel also has one-bedroom suites and a two-storey penthouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The food and drink offer includes Three Rivers Brasserie & Bar, Blend Café Bar and Little Beast Restaurant. The hotel also includes a 24-hour fitness suite with virtual personal training technology.

For corporate and private functions, guests can use more than 30 event spaces across the Etihad Campus.

These include Medlock Square’s outdoor activation space, which can hold up to 3,000 people, as well as hospitality areas within the Etihad Stadium.

The penthouse of the hotel can also be used for private events, screenings, live shows and executive gatherings for up to 50 guests.

Radisson Hotel Group EMEA franchise chief operating officer Joep Peeters said: “The opening of Radisson Blu Medlock Hotel represents a defining moment for both Manchester and the team behind it.

“Whether visitors are here for a football match, a concert, a conference, or just to explore Manchester, both the hotel and its location offer guests an experience unlike anywhere else in the UK. The property reflects the city’s character: welcoming, energetic and proudly authentic, and we are thrilled to welcome it into Radisson Hotel Group.”

Last month, Radisson Blu opened a new hotel in Sinaia, Romania.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Sinaia Cota 1400 is based in a historic building first constructed in 1939 and now operates as a five-star mountain hotel with 68 rooms.
