Sunac Huacheng Real Estate Development Co has selected hotel operator Rosewood Hotels & Resorts to manage the property.

The hotel will feature 183 rooms as well as 25 suites.

It will boast four dining outlets including a bistro, a living room, a Chinese restaurant and a specialty bar.

Furthermore, Rosewood Chongqing will feature Sense, a Rosewood Spa, a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool.

It will also offer a 945m2 meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom.

The hotel is being developed as part of Rosewood’s strategic expansion efforts in Asia. It will be the brand’s 18th property in the continent and 10th project in Greater China.

Rosewood Hotel Group chief executive officer Sonia Cheng said: “Chongqing is quickly becoming a powerhouse of both business and recreational activity.

“It’s thrilling to have our latest project emerge in such an impactful city and to have the opportunity to play a real role in transformation of Chongqing’s luxury hospitality landscape.

“It’s the perfect place to continue our Asian expansion and we look forward to providing our affluential explorers with exceptional access to all it has to offer.”

Sunac is developing the mixed-use development, Jiangbeizui International Financial Centre. The design concept of the project includes a cluster of four towers.
