The opening follows Series by Marriott’s launch in India in 2025 and its entry into Japan in April 2026.
Three more hotels are expected to join the Series by Marriott portfolio in South Korea by the end of this year.
The planned locations are Insadong in Seoul, Guwol in Incheon and Haeundae in Busan.
Marriott International Asia Pacific excluding China chief lodging product and services officer Cristiano Rinaldi said: “The debut of Series by Marriott in South Korea marks another important step in the brand’s expansion across Asia Pacific.
“Through Series by Marriott, we are bringing regionally recognised hotel groups into our portfolio while preserving the character and familiarity that have earned the trust of local travellers.
“Anook Signature Seoul Guro reflects this vision, combining a distinctly local hospitality experience with the quality, care and global connectivity guests expect from Marriott.”
