Hospitality technology provider Shiji has integrated Workmatrix’s booking engine with its property management system (PMS) at Swiss hospitality destination Appenzeller Huus.

The PMS integration enables a seamless direct booking process for guests, bypassing third-party intermediaries and ensuring real-time updates on availability and pricing.

Appenzeller Huus offers a blend of tradition and modern luxury through two established hotels, Huus Löwen and Huus Bären.

Guests at Appenzeller Huus can now benefit from the enhanced operational efficiency and smoother reservation management brought about by the direct connection to Shiji PMS.

This development aligns with the Huus hotels’ commitment to personalised service, featuring a fully brand-optimised booking flow.

Workmatrix managing director Stefan Elsner said: “At Workmatrix, we are dedicated to making hotel bookings as efficient as possible.

“This integration with Shiji provides a seamless, end-to-end solution that allows luxury properties like Appenzeller Huus to focus on what matters most – delivering exceptional guest experiences.”

Shiji delivers software solutions and services to companies across various industries, including hospitality and foodservice.

Shiji Central Europe sales director Jan Mazur said: “Shiji’s mission is to simplify hotel technology and empower hoteliers with seamless integrations.

“By working with Workmatrix, we’ve eliminated unnecessary complexity in the booking process, allowing hotels like Appenzeller Huus to maximise direct revenue while ensuring a superior guest journey from the moment they make a reservation.”

Hotel technology integrator Workmatrix, which focuses on streamlining the reservation process, designs hotel websites and builds custom booking engines that directly connect to PMSs.

In August 2024, Shiji announced integration of Infrasys Cloud POS with the mobile ordering platform Wi-Q.

The integration was aimed to provide a unified ordering process for hotel guests and operators, improving the dining experience.
