The 444-room headquarters hotel will provide a direct link to the Savannah Convention Center, raising the destination’s capacity to host larger conventions, citywide conferences, and assemblies.

Hilton will operate the asset while the hotel is owned by the SGCCA and being developed in collaboration with the Georgia World Congress Center Authority.

Songy Highroads and Matthews Southwest Hospitality are serving as co-developers on the scheme.

On-site facilities will encompass upwards of 34,000ft² of dedicated meeting and function space, including a 13,000ft² ballroom alongside Club Signia, an open-air swimming pool, and five food and beverage outlets.

The property’s culinary programme is being produced in partnership with Grey Spaces, a Savannah-based hospitality company led by Chef Mashama Bailey and restaurateur Johno Morisano.

Hilton Americas president Danny Hughes said: “Reaching this milestone is an exciting moment for Signia Hilton Savannah and a reflection of our confidence in the city as a premier destination for all types of travellers.

“As the convention centre’s headquarters hotel, this property will bring together sophisticated accommodations, distinctive design, signature food and beverage experiences, wellness offerings and unparalleled meetings and events capabilities in a way that is uniquely Signia Hilton.

“We’re proud to partner with the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority and our development partners to create a hotel that will welcome travellers from around the world and contribute to Savannah’s continued growth and success.”
