
Hilton has partnered with Al Musbah Group to launch Spark by Hilton in Aziziyah, Makkah, marking the economy brand’s foray in Saudi Arabia.
Anticipated to open later this year, the hotel contributes to Hilton’s goal of reaching 100 hotels trading and in the pipeline across the country.
Spark by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah will be strategically located in the east of Masjid Al-Haram.
Hilton Middle East and Africa development vice-president Carlos Khneisser said: “We are excited about reaching 100 hotels trading and in the pipeline in Saudi Arabia, as we continue to diversify our footprint and introduce more of our global brands across both established and emerging destinations.
“Our continued partnership with Al Musbah Group is a testament to this growth and our commitment to supporting private sector development in the Saudi tourism industry.
“With two-thirds of our pipeline in Saudi Arabia already under construction, we look forward to continuing our work with new and existing owners to deliver more hotels at all price points for guests across the Kingdom.”

By GlobalDataThe new property is set to offer 329 guest rooms, a social space, complimentary breakfast, and separate male and female prayer halls.
The hospitality company has 20 hotels in the country, with 77 more properties under development, forming a quarter of the branded hotel rooms under construction, supporting Saudi Vision 2030.

Hilton’s portfolio includes 24 brands, consisting of more than 8,600 properties in 139 countries and territories.
This expansion follows the announcement in August 2023 of the signing of the 273-key Hilton Dammam Airport, Hilton’s first airport hotel in the Kingdom.
