Suba Group of Hotels has broadened its presence in India’s Northeast region with the opening of Clarion Hotel De Renees in the state of Sikkim.

The hotel’s inauguration was presided over by Sikkim tourism, civil aviation, commerce and industries Minister Tshering Thendup Bhutia.

Located in the state’s capital, Gangtok, Clarion Hotel De Renees features 38 rooms and a variety of culinary experiences including a multi-cuisine restaurant, Cinnamon and Tipsy Tiger, an exclusive lounge.

The property also boasts banquets and meetings facilities, a rooftop dining space, an international spa, a fitness centre, and an indoor pool.

Suba Hotels chairman Mansur Mehta said: “This opening is a reflection of our continued commitment to delivering premium hospitality in prime locations. Clarion Hotel De Renees Gangtok is perfectly positioned to serve the evolving needs of both leisure and business travellers, while contributing meaningfully to Sikkim’s tourism ecosystem.”

Clarion Hotel De Renees operates under Choice Hotels International’s network, which boasts over 7,000 properties across 40 countries.

In India, Suba Hotels oversees 52 properties under the Choice brand umbrella, including Clarion, Comfort, and Quality Inn brands.
