Indian hospitality tech platform OYO has now crossed the 1,000 Super OYO-branded hotel mark and aims to end the 2024 fiscal year with more than 1,500 hotels under the brand, according to

These 1,000 hotels are spread across over 140 Indian cities.

In December 2022, the category was introduced with 200 properties in 70 cities to provide hotels offering quality and a consistent customer experience.

The company stated that it continues to assist its hotel partners to improve customer experiences with a view to bolstering the brand further.

Super OYOs are those hotel properties selected through a process of evaluation based on customer ratings, consistent room availability, smooth check-in experiences and other important performance indicators.

One in four OYO customers is already using Super OYOs, demonstrating customers’ growing preference and trust in the brand, according to the company.

OYO further added that the launch of Super OYOs has enhanced stay experiences and reduced check-in issues, leading to higher customer satisfaction ratings.

Hotels of all categories, including premium and budget, come under the Super OYO brand by maintaining their high customer service ratings, thereby enabling customers to stay at a Super OYO hotel at any price range.

OYO Flagship makes up the majority, with more than 26% of hotels. This is followed by OYO Rooms at 22% and Collection O at 19%. These brands offer guests diverse lodging options as per their budget.

OYO chief service officer for the Super OYO category Shreerang Godbole was quoted by the news publication as saying: “Super OYO is just one of the many initiatives we have undertaken to ensure customer satisfaction.

“We will continue to work closely with our partners and invest in technology and processes that elevate the overall stay experience for our guests.”

Among the Indian cities, Hyderabad has the highest number of Super OYO hotels with 82 properties, followed by Bengaluru with 61 and Kolkata with 55.
