Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Development Fund (TDF) and Golden Frond Hotel Services have signed an agreement to build an eco-lodge in Al-Ahsa Oasis, Saudi Arabia.
Golden Frond Hotel Services, a subsidiary of Afyaa Group, signed the agreement at the Future Hospitality Summit, held in Riyadh.
The new eco-lodge will be operated by luxury lodge brand ENVI Lodges and will feature 25 lodging pods of one and two-bedroom units.
ENVI Al Nakheel will offer a range of facilities such as farm-to-table dining units, local arts and crafts and a spa.
Tourism Development Fund CEO Qusai Al-Fakhri said: “This distinctive project is compatible with our goals of promoting sustainable tourism.
“Al-Ahsa is distinguished by its historical and cultural heritage sites as it is one of the most important destinations within the focus of The National Tourism Strategy, aiming at raising the number of tourism opportunities in Saudi Arabia in line with Vision 2030.”
