Full-stack developer The Hotels Network (THN) has acquired LiveRate, a company that helps hotels boost their direct bookings.

The acquisition marks the first for THN and is expected to significantly expand its reach in the DACH [Germany, Austria and Switzerland] market.

THN stated that this deal is a stride towards its mission to connect hotels through its network.

This deal will see the integration of LiveRate’s client hotels into THN’s global network of more than 19,000 properties.

For hotels previously utilising LiveRate Compare, THN will now offer its leading Price Comparison tool.

This feature allows potential guests to see all available rates for their stay in real-time on the hotel’s website, negating the need to search elsewhere for better deals.

THN’s tool is designed to ensure hoteliers can track rate disparities and maintain competitive pricing with unparalleled precision.

According to THN, their product provides hoteliers with the ability to monitor rate discrepancies with 100% accuracy, including the provision of screenshots for specific user search queries.

This enables hotels to take immediate action to address any pricing inconsistencies. In instances where third-party rates are lower, THN’s system can automatically adjust the hotel’s direct rate during the booking process to match the lower price.

Moreover, alongside the Price Comparison tool, client hotels can now effectively communicate the exclusive benefits of booking directly through their websites.

This approach not only assures potential customers of receiving the best available rates but also underscores the perks of direct bookings, which can lead to increased conversion rates.
