VDA Telkonet and hospitality management platform Cloudbeds have partnered to connect smart guest room automation directly with hotel management software.
The integration links front-desk workflows within the Cloudbeds property management system (PMS) with VDA Telkonet’s guest room controls, automating room adjustments to minimise manual communication between reception staff and in-room hardware.

Cloudbeds partnerships vice-president Sebastien Leitner said: “Connecting VDA Telkonet with Cloudbeds brings that principle into the guest room, helping teams coordinate room settings with check-in activity and spend less time managing the steps in between.”
Upon check-in, room assignment records within the PMS automatically trigger welcome scenes, regulate temperature settings, and activate guest access permissions.
The system also synchronises door access, encoder hardware, and room status updates with the Cloudbeds PMS to minimise repetitive administrative tasks for hotel staff.
For energy management, the platform alters environmental controls based on live occupancy status, helping operators regulate utility usage while maintaining guest comfort.
The technical integration is currently undergoing final certification, with commercial release scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
VDA Telkonet global solution proposition manager Ferose Ahamed said: “Our partnership with Cloudbeds reinforces this approach, connecting guestroom intelligence with hotel operations to create simpler, more efficient and more intuitive hospitality experiences.”
