IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Bristol Berlin, Vignette Collection in Berlin, Germany, marking the brand’s first property in the city.
The hotel, which comes under Aroundtown’s portfolio, signifies a milestone in IHG’s goal to reach 100 hotels by 2030.
The new Vignette Collection hotel will offer 303 rooms, a lobby lounge and bar, an all-day brasserie, and a spa with a swimming pool. Guests can also access 1,500m² of meeting and event space.
IHG Hotels & Resorts Europe development vice-president Willemijn Geels said: “With both guests and hotel owners continuing to show strong enthusiasm for IHG’s variety of brands, our strategy in the market now centres on steadily increasing our luxury and lifestyle portfolio. It is great to see evidence of this strategy in play with the prospective first opening of Vignette Collection hotel in Germany.
“As one of our priority markets, and recognising the vast potential across all market segments, we’ve made significant investments in Germany to support our owners at every stage of their hotel’s lifecycle. From strengthening our enterprise, including through our IHG One Rewards loyalty programme, enhanced marketing campaigns and growing our teams on the ground, we are confidently cementing our presence in the country.”
Vignette Collection, IHG’s inaugural collection brand, showcases a range of unique hotels that maintain their distinctive character while aligning with IHG’s commitment to ‘A Means For Good’ and Memorable Rituals.
The Bristol Berlin addition will enhance IHG’s presence in Germany, which includes 147 operating hotels and another 75 in the pipeline, spanning seven brands.
It will also be the second Vignette Collection hotel in Germany, following an establishment in Reit im Winkl.
Aroundtown Hotels CEO Kamaldeep Manaktala said: “Through the partnerships with IHG, we are taking the next step in unlocking the full potential of our hotel, which benefits from a prime city centre location.
“In recent years, we have successfully revitalised the property through extensive room renovations and a refreshed restaurant concept. Now, with the strength of a leading global hotel brand, we are leveraging these improvements to elevate the hotel’s performance to new heights.”
In January 2025, IHG signed a new agreement with tristar to manage a Holiday Inn hotel in Ratingen, Dusseldorf.
Furthering its expansion, IHG signed a deal in April 2024 with NOVUM Hospitality to double its German footprint, aiming to operate more than 200 hotels in nearly 100 cities through strategic brand collaborations and market debuts.
