IHG Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to open the first dual-branded voco and Holiday Inn Hotel in downtown Chicago, US.
The company will repurpose an existing Holiday Inn hotel, which has been a Chicago landmark for over four decades, into the dual-branded property.
Currently, the hotel is under renovation and a portion of the building will be converted into a voco hotel.
The landmark River North hotel is owned by Murphy Development Group.
IHG development senior vice-president Julienne Smith said: “Chicago is one of the most dynamic cities in the world and most popular travel destinations in the US.
“We believe the millions of travellers who visit this exciting part of the city each year will welcome the choice between Holiday Inn, the most trusted hotel brand in the US, and the upscale refinement of voco.
