Westin Hotels & Resorts has bolstered its footprint in Indonesia by opening a new hotel, The Westin Surabaya, in the capital of East Java.

The hotel is located near the colonial architecture and historical monuments and provides access to The Pakuwon Mall, one of the biggest shopping malls.

Additionally, the hotel is surrounded by golf courses, which includes Pakuwon Golf & Family Club and Bukit Darmo Golf.

The property is located around 24km away from The Surabaya Juanda International Airport.

Marriott International Asia Pacific (excluding China) president Rajeev Menon said: “We are excited to open the fourth Westin hotel in Indonesia, expanding the brand’s signature wellbeing offering to more locals and travellers.

“This opening also marks the 57th Marriott International hotel in Indonesia, indicative of our commitment to expanding our footprint in the region.

“Surabaya is a city that embodies a fascinating blend of the old and the new. Travellers can discover the city’s history and culture while enjoying the modern culinary scene. Guests staying at The Westin Surabaya can recharge and reenergize while enjoying what the city has to offer.”

The Westin Surabaya features 204 guest rooms and suites.

Additionally, the suite rooms provide views of Surabaya city while the club lounge and restaurant offer 270⁰ view.

The hotel provides its Eat Well offerings and features Sky Lounge on the 28th floor, 24hr Westin Workout fitness studio, and event space spread over 9,000ft2.
