Hotel franchising company Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is set to strengthen its presence in South Asia by opening its first hotels in Nepal and Bhutan.
The two new locations are Ramada by Wyndham Valley Thimpu in Bhutan and Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kathmandu Thamel Nepal.
The Bhutanese location is situated in the Thimpu valley by the Raidāk River and features 41 rooms. The hotel is slated to open in March next year.
The Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kathmandu Thamel is scheduled to open next month. The hotel comprises 90 furnished guest rooms.
Notably, Wyndham has also opened another location in India recently, as part of its expansion plan in South Asia.
The property Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dwarka is located near the Dwarkadhish Temple, Dwarka Beach and Gomti Ghat. It features 202 guest rooms.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Eurasia director Nikhil Sharma said: “Over the last few years, Bhutan and Nepal have seen a steady increase in tourism, making them ideal destinations for us to expand into.
“What’s more, they perfectly complement the opportunity and uptick of the midscale market in India, which we’ve strengthened today with the introduction of our Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham brand.
“As the Indian subcontinent continues making waves in the hospitality industry, Wyndham remains laser focused on tapping into its key markets and fulfilling our mission of making hotel travel possible for all.”
Recently, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts also announced plans to open two new locations in Turkey.
