The new La Quinta by Wyndham Selma hotel with Del Sol prototype has opened in North Carolina, US.

Hotel franchising company Wyndham Hotels & Resorts said the new property is the 120th hotel in the La Quinta portfolio.

The hotel is owned by Jay Sai Corporation and features 80 guestrooms, a lobby and an outdoor pool.

It is positioned off I-95 and US-70 and is within easy reach of Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Wyndham La Quinta president and architecture, design, and construction head Krishna Paliwal said: “This is a milestone opening for the La Quinta by Wyndham brand, and we’re proud to unveil this innovative new property.

“We’ve seen huge demand for this stylish, modern prototype, which offers a comfortable stay with contemporary rooms and thoughtful amenities for guests. It’s a great investment opportunity for hotel owners.”

Wyndham acquired the La Quinta brand in 2018 and has since executed 122 new franchise contracts.

Currently, there are 175 La Quinta hotels in the development pipeline.

This year, La Quinta hotels will open in key US cities, such as Nashville, Santa Cruz, Austin, Brooklyn, Denver, and Corpus Christi.

Additionally, the brand has plans to expand to countries including Dominican Republic, China, the UAE, Mexico and Georgia.

Wyndham’s La Quinta brand has 940 destinations across the US, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Turkey, and New Zealand.

The company will open the second Del Sol prototype La Quinta in Galveston, Texas this summer.

Earlier this month, a new 81-room La Quinta brand hotel opened in Shorewood, Chicago, Illinois.
