The Grosvenor House West Marina Beach, in the new burgeoning tourist hotspot of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, is one of the newest and most luxurious hotels of the Le Meridien group. This acclaimed five star boutique hotel was opened in June 2005
(fully operational by August 2005) and now offers a total of 422 air-conditioned guestrooms located on 45 floors. The rooms, with floor space of up to 55m², are decorated with an Arabian-contemporary style decor and the in-room facilities include
climate control, 42-inch plasma screen satellite equipped television, complimentary high-speed wireless Internet, 24-hour room service and butler service.

Both the rooms and apartments are equipped with a state-of-the-art interactive information and entertainment system called NeosTv, which can deliver movies-on-demand with DVD functionality, as well as high-speed internet through the television. In
addition, the system offers electronic guest services and web radio as well as music on demand. All of the fully equipped marble bathrooms are provided with designer toiletries.

After only one year of service the hotel was awarded ISO 90001: 2000 quality management certification in August 2006 for quality standards in all areas of operation.

LOCATION AND FACILITIES

The 45 storey Grosvenor House West Marina Beach was the first building completed and fully operational in the prestigious Dubai Marina. The hotel room inventory has 217 sea-facing rooms and 205 apartments, with views over the Dubai Marina, a new 1.8km
man-made harbour. These were named the World’s Leading Hotel Serviced Apartments at the World Travel Awards in November 2005. The hotel shares private beach facilities with the Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa; facilities here include water
sports, swimming pools, and tennis courts.

The Grosvenor health spa has a total of seven treatment rooms – all named after flowers and decorated with rock and blossom features to provide a focal point for those undergoing treatments – for both ladies and men (1847 treatment
centre). It offers the very latest spa treatments, the latest workout equipment as well as a new concept hair bar, specialising in all types of cuts, curls and tints, a nail studio (N.Bar), waxing, hydrotherapy pools, steam room, spa tub, sauna and
jacuzzi, aqua massage, flotation tanks and private treatment rooms.

The hotel arcade is able to provide a variety of shopping opportunities with its own small arcade of shops offering many well known boutique brand names. All of the guests’ business requirements can be taken care of with the hotel’s own
conference rooms and business centre. For additional retail opportunity the Mall of the Emirates is a short walk from the hotel.

The top 11 floors of the hotel are reserved for the Grosvenor Club and include premium executive accommodation for VIP guests, who also have access to the 44th floor dedicated bar/lounge complex with stunning views over the Palm Jumeirah
resort nearby. The 44th floor facilities include twelve exclusive restaurants and bars – one of these, Bar 44, has some of the best views over the whole of Dubai Marina.

RESTAURANTS

The hotel boasts some of the finest restaurants in Dubai with a variety of cuisines to satisfy all possible tastes. The Mezzanine, headed by Gary Robinson – the former personal chef to Prince Charles – features modern French and British
fare, while the well-known celebrity chef Vineet Bhatia is head chef at the modern Indian restaurant, Indego.

In July 2006 the Persian restaurant was opened, which bases its cuisine around ancient recipes from the days of the Ottoman Empire. This restaurant recreates authentic Turkish and Persian cuisine with a modern twist and also has an observation deck with
an excellent view over the Palm Jumeriah resort. There are also some more low-key places to eat such as the Buddah Bar, which serves a variety of cuisines and also Sloanes which serves a buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner.
