Concept: US cybersecurity startup Claroty has rolled out a security platform for the cyber-physical system (CPS). Claroty offers security for CPS including industrial IoT, enterprise IoT, and healthcare environments. The new platform offers continuous threat detection solutions, automatic segmentation of industrial networks, risk and vulnerability management, and rapid detection of potential threats.

Nature of Disruption: Claroty’s new security platform can integrate with the current infrastructure used by customers. The new security platform covers three main parameters including finding vulnerable devices, detecting malware, and allowing administrators to access industrial hardware securely over the network. The platform integrates with security tools including firewalls, network access control solutions, security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) solutions. The new security platform enables organizations to securely manage their interconnected environments.

Outlook: Organizations across all industries are dependent on CPS to run their building management systems, surveillance cameras, heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, and many other physical processes. With increasing cyberattacks globally, companies across different industries are relying on security platforms to protect their data and systems. The new security platform for CPS enables companies to safeguard their data and system. Claroty has raised $400M in series E funding led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2. Other participants in the funding include ISTARI, Team8, and Standard Investments. The startup aims to use the funding to finance and incorporate the acquisition of Medigate.
