The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.2% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.99% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 1.15% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.82% in May 2022, registering a 25% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 23.53% share, a decrease of 50% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.76%, registering a 33.33% decline from April 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.88%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 27.27% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
TravelPerk posted 2 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by A.P. Moller – Maersk with 2 jobs and an 81.82% drop. Booking Holdings with 2 IT jobs and TrekkSoft with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while International Consolidated Airlines Group recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.35%, down by 17.65% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with an 11.76% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.88% share, down 66.67% over April 2022.
