Computer and Mathematical Occupations, with a share of 33%, emerged as the top artificial intelligence-related job roles within the travel and tourism industry in Q4 2023, with new job postings rising by 3% quarter-on-quarter. Management Occupations came in second with a share of 21% in Q4 2023, with new job postings rising by 41% over the previous quarter.

Together they accounted for a combined share of 51% of all artificial intelligence-related new jobs in the travel and tourism industry.
Uber Technologies posted 279 artificial intelligence-related new jobs in Q4 2023, Walt Disney 135 jobs, Deutsche Lufthansa 113 jobs, A.P. Moller - Maersk 64 jobs, and Booking 55 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 39.92% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023
The largest share of artificial intelligence-related new job postings in the travel and tourism industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 39.92% followed by Germany (14.75%) and India (8.24%). The share represented by the US was two percentage points higher than the 38.01% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
