The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 22.42% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.95% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.84% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 94.01% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 55.69% in December 2021, registering a 2.11% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 12.57% share, a decrease of 12.5% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.98%, registering a 23.08% decline from November 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 7.78%, down 55.17% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
Caesars Entertainment posted 37 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 54.17% over the previous month, followed by A.P. Moller – Maersk with 34 jobs and a 17.07% drop. easyJet with 11 IT jobs and Wizz Air with 9 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 30.77% decrease, respectively, while Greene King recorded a decline of 20% with 8 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.45%, down by 13.1% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 17.96% share, registered an increase of 3.45% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.59% share, down 31.25% over November 2021.
