Beaches Resorts has unveiled a $1bn investment plan aimed at doubling the size of its family all-inclusive vacation brand within the next five years.
This expansion will introduce new Beaches properties in Barbados, The Bahamas, and Jamaica, as well as additional developments at Beaches Turks and Caicos.
Founded in 1997, Beaches Resorts is the family-friendly offshoot of Sandals Resorts, currently operating in Jamaica and Turks and Caicos.
Beaches Resorts executive chairman Adam Stewart said: “As a family from the Caribbean, we have a deep love for our islands, and it’s incredibly gratifying to draw inspiration from our guests.
“Our growth strategy is rooted in meeting their wants, with the importance of family time being at the core of our brand’s DNA. We know that now, more than ever, families are prioritising connection and seeking enriching, multigenerational vacations. We are committed to not only meeting this demand but going above and beyond to wow them with new product offerings and provide unforgettable shared experiences.”
Beaches Barbados will mark the brand’s debut in the country. Joining sister properties Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados, the new resort will break ground later this year.
It will feature 600 rooms, including king suites, two-queen designs, and four-bedroom suites with private oceanfront balconies.
Beaches Resorts is also entering the Bahamian hospitality sector with Beaches Exuma. In collaboration with the national government, the brand will transform Sandals Emerald Bay with a variety of accommodations, 12 restaurants, a Kids Camp, a splash park, and a spa.
Jamaica will see the addition of the Beaches Runaway Bay Resort, offering suites and villas for extended families. The resort will include wellness areas, skateboarding, bike trails, a treehouse, and Runaway Bay Golf Club access.
At Beaches Turks and Caicos, the new Treasure Beach Village will add 101 suite keys, including four-bedroom beachfront villas.
These developments follow the recent expansion of Beaches Negril in Jamaica, which introduced the Firesky Reserve Villas and the Eventide Penthouse Collection.
In November 2023, Beaches Resorts partnered with the Lumistella Company to bring Elf on the Shelf festivities to their resorts.
