Deutsche Hospitality has announced the opening of IntercityHotel Dubai Jaddaf Waterfront, its first franchised property in the Middle East.

Opened on 25 November 2021, IntercityHotel Dubai Jaddaf Waterfront will be headed by general manager Avlok Singh.

The German hotel giant has also entered partnership with full-service hotel acquisition and management firm Valor Hospitality Partners for the operation of the hotel.

The new property was designed by Italian architect and designer Matteo Thun.

It offers easy and efficient access to the Dubai Metro, main roads, or boat rides across the Creek.

Deutsche Hospitality CEO Marcus Bernhardt said: “The Middle East has always been an exciting and ever-growing market.

“We are already operating 19 properties in the region and plan to expand our presence across brands in the future.

“Establishing our first franchised property with such an accomplished partner as Valor Hospitality Partners, opens up further opportunities for us in this regard as well.”

IntercityHotel Dubai Jaddaf Waterfront has 138 superior and premium rooms, roof terrace featuring pool complex, an AquaLounge and dedicated pool for children.

Other guest amenities include gyms, contemporary style restaurants and a Bistro Lounge.

The new property is the fourth hotel to operate under the brand in the Middle East. The other three IntercityHotels are located in Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this month, the German company opened 206-room Steigenberger Hotel Doha on Airport Road as part of its expansion in the Middle East.

In August this year, Deutsche Hospitality, in partnership with its shareholder Huazhu, launched a new IntercityHotel in the capital city of Henan Province, China.
