Online travel platform Fliggy has broadened its partnership with travel technology provider Amadeus by joining Amadeus Value Hotels.

Additionally, Alitrip, Fliggy’s corporate travel management division, has signed an agreement with Amadeus to facilitate corporate travel for its customers travelling to and from China.

This agreement will enable customers to access and book hospitality options through the Amadeus Travel Platform.

The platform is claimed to be used by more than a million properties worldwide including hotel chains and aggregators such as Amadeus Value Hotels.

Adding Amadeus Value Hotels to Fliggy’s offerings is expected to expand customer options.

During search and booking, it will provide a broader selection of accommodations, destinations, and room details.

Fliggy stated that this partnership aligns with its commitment to catering to the diverse needs of travellers.

In addition, Fliggy and Alitrip customers are anticipated to be able to offer unparalleled access to real-time rates.

Fliggy International Hotels general manager Xiaochen Zhou said: “Amadeus has a strong global reach and extensive experience in hospitality supply chain management. As we further collaborate with Amadeus, we can enhance our customers’ experience with an extensive array of hotel options worldwide.

“This expanded partnership strengthens our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of modern travellers and providing them with a seamless and enriched travel journey.”

Amadeus hospitality media and distribution executive vice-president Joerg Schuler said: “We are excited to contribute to Fliggy’s continued success and provide its customers with an enhanced and personalised travel experience.”

Last July, Fliggy extended its collaboration with online travel agency Agoda to expand hotel options for Chinese outbound travellers.

Established in 2016, Fliggy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alibaba Group.

It currently offers a wide range of travel services for Chinese tourists, including accommodation, flights, car rentals, tour packages, and train tickets.
