Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has partnered with the Red Sea Global (RSG) to launch new resort at The Red Sea destination in Saudi Arabia.

Located on Shura Island, the new Four Seasons Resort will feature approximately 149 rooms and suites as well as six restaurant and lounge outlets.

Foster + Partners will design the property, which will also provide meeting and events spaces, a marine discovery centre, Kids For All Seasons space and others.

In addition, the Four Seasons resort will house a full-service spa, tennis courts, three outdoor pools, and two separate beaches for families and adults.

Shura Island is home to retail offerings, 18-hole golf course, leisure and lifestyle facilities.

The resort will also have its own dedicated airport, which is currently being built.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts global business development and portfolio management president Bart Carnahan said: “As we continue to expand Four Seasons presence in the region, our new project in the Red Sea will be one of our first resorts in the Kingdom, blending the best of beachside travel with the natural and cultural wonders of Saudi Arabia.”

The new resort will join Four Seasons’ other properties in the Kingdom, including Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre.

Besides the resort, The Red Sea development will include natural islands and lagoons across the 200km coastline along the western coast of Saudi Arabia.

Red Sea Global CEO John Pagano said: “We are thrilled to have Four Seasons as a partner on this project, bringing their world-renowned service expertise to the beautiful Red Sea.”

In May last year, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts partnered with The Red Sea Development Company to introduce its branded property at the destination.
