Hospitality company Hilton has signed an agreement for a new 180-key Canopy by Hilton hotel in Utah, US, to open in mid-2026.
The development signifies the brand’s first property in the US state and is part of a collaboration with full-service national real estate developer Extell Development Company.

The hotel will be located in Deer Valley East Village, North America’s first luxury alpine village.
Overlooking the Jordanelle Reservoir and Deer Valley Resort, the hotel’s design is a collaboration between The Richardson Design Partnership and DLR/Brayton Hughes, incorporating Park City’s silver mining heritage and its 1960s ski destination history.

By GlobalDataThe hotel will feature amenities tailored to both seasonal and year-round activities such as a pool and hot tub, steam room and sauna, fitness centre, golf simulator, ski reception lobby, and ski locker room.
Guests will also have access to meeting and conference facilities, and two levels of underground parking for 176 vehicles.
Food and beverage options at Canopy at Deer Valley will span over 9,600ft², encompassing a restaurant, an après-ski lounge, a coffee shop, and a rooftop lounge.
Deer Valley East Village is set to become a new gateway to the Deer Valley Resort, which is undergoing an expansion to double its skiable terrain by the 2025/2026 ski season.
The resort will add ten new chairlifts and 100 new ski runs, resulting in more than 5,726 acres of skiable terrain serviced by 37 chairlifts across 238 runs.
The new Canopy by Hilton at Deer Valley will integrate into the Hilton Honors programme, enhancing the loyalty experience for guests of Hilton’s 24 brands.
In February 2023, Hilton, the Easton’s Group of Hotels and the Gupta Group launched an 184‑room Canopy by Hilton hotel in Toronto, Canada, marking its expansion to North America.
