
Hilton has expanded its portfolio in Malaysia with the opening of a DoubleTree by Hilton beachfront resort in Damai Laut, Lumut.
Located in the west coast of Malaysia’s Perak state, the resort is about an hour and 45 minutes’ ride from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, Ipoh.
The new property features 294 digital key-enabled guest rooms with mini-fridge, high-definition television, high-speed internet access and private balconies.
DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort boasts Makan Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant catering diverse menu and local specialties, Hotpot, a steamboat restaurant serves meat and seafood specialties, and the Axis Lounge offers freshly brewed coffee, tea and a selection of light sandwiches
The property features more than 1,400m2 of meeting space, including Damai Ballroom, an 885m2 pillar-less space that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests and six flexible meeting and conference rooms equipped with advanced audio-visual and technical facilities.
Other guest amenities include a spa, a fitness centre, an outdoor pool, kids’ club and mini waterpark.

The opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort comes after Hilton unveiled DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City in July this year.
