Hilton has introduced a new booking technology that allows guests to book and instantly confirm at least two connecting rooms easily.
The global roll out of the new Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton technology has started.
It will be available when individuals book on Hilton.com or through the Hilton Honors app at participating hotels within any of the 18 brands of the portfolio.
Hilton executive vice-president and chief commercial officer Chris Silcock said: “Research shows that nearly half of travellers booking trips together consider connecting rooms to be important.
“Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton presents an innovative solution to a decades-old problem and creates a renewed confidence in the booking experience at a time when a record number of people are travel planning.”
Earlier, guests used to indicate their request when booking to stay in connecting rooms and then follow-up with calls as well as emails several times.
Confirmation of available connecting rooms was only possible in most of the cases when the guest arrived at the hotel, during check-in.
Originally engineered by Hilton’s new urban lifestyle hotel brand, Motto by Hilton, the concept enables individuals to book and instantly confirm connecting rooms in three easy steps.
Initially, the guests have to select number of desired rooms, along with the destination and dates, and choose the hotel.
They are required to check the box to indicate interest in connecting rooms, at the time of selecting a room.
Lastly, by selecting each connecting room at the desired rates, they can book the stay with instant confirmation.
Through the expanded connecting room concept offered by most of the newly branded Motto by Hilton hotels, guests can book up to nine unique connecting room configurations.
Earlier this month, Groups360 and Hilton announced the worldwide launch of GroupSync Engage, an integrated direct booking solution for group room blocks, across the majority of the Hilton portfolio.
