This latest addition to the company’s Inclusive Collection is situated ten minutes from the Cancun hotel zone and adjacent to Dreams Grand Island resort, which is due to open later in the year.

Hyatt Hotels marketing and global branding associate vice-president Melanie Benozich said: “Hyatt offers brands that meet guests and members across every stay occasion and every walk of life. The debut of Hyatt Vivid Grand Island represents an exciting new chapter in the Inclusive Collection’s story.

“We’re thrilled to see the brand promise of flexibility over formality come to life for the first time with the opening of Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in Cancun.”

Hyatt Vivid Grand Island offers 400 modern suites, ranging from 570ft² to more than 3,000ft², along with a range of amenities and a furnished balcony.

The Vantage Club at the resort offers guests an upgraded experience with exclusive perks.

These include personalised services and exclusive access to additional amenities such as the private Vantage Club lounge and the Mediterraneo restaurant for special breakfast options.

Dining options at the property include 11 casual dining venues and six bars, featuring à la carte restaurants, an all-day global cuisine eatery, and healthy menu options, among others.

It also offers activities such as golden-hour gatherings, art classes, and cultural experiences such as Spanish lessons and mezcal tastings.

Additional amenities include a rooftop gym and three pools.

The launch of the latest resort is part of the company’s growth in Latin America and the Caribbean, following the recent openings such as Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and Secrets Tides Resort & Spa.

This expansion is set to continue with upcoming properties such as Breathless Puerto Vallarta and Park Hyatt Los Cabos, extending through to next year.

The announcement expands Hyatt’s Mexican portfolio. Earlier this year, Hyatt announced the opening of Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, a 507-room resort in Cancun, Mexico.

As of 31 December 2023, Hyatt’s portfolio included more than 1,300 hotels and all-inclusive properties across 77 countries.
