
An affiliate of Hyatt has signed an agreement with real estate firm Exacorp One for first Thompson Hotels property in Spain.
The property, dubbed Thompson Madrid, is slated to open in mid-2022.
The new hotel will have 175 guestrooms, including 23 suites, each featuring balconies and terraces as well as a two-storey penthouse.
Thompson Madrid will offer three food and beverage venues including the brand’s signature rooftop terrace featuring a bar and restaurant, and a speak-easy style venuei.
In addition, the rooftop will feature an urban oasis, an outdoor pool, a hilltop residential style bar, and a destination day club.
Other guest amenities will include event spaces, a fitness centre and an open-air courtyard.

Thompson Madrid will be located at the heart of the new Golden Mile of Madrid.
Once open, the property will mark the third Hyatt-branded hotel in Madrid after Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid and Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid.
Earlier this month, an affiliate of Hyatt signed a franchise agreement with Thera Island Suites to debut the Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in Santorini, Greece.
