Hospitality firm Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has opened a new hotel under its SeleQtions brand in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Opened in partnership with real estate firm Ambuja Neotia Group, the hotel is named Raajkutir and features 33 rooms.

IHCL managing director and chief executive officer Puneet Chhatwal said: “We are delighted to extend IHCL’s portfolio in Kolkata with the addition of Raajkutir – our first SeleQtions branded hotel in the city. Kolkata is a major business and cultural centre, and we remain committed to growing our presence in East India. This new opening further strengthens our partnership with the Ambuja Neotia Group.”

Raajkutir hotel boasts approximately 4,600m2 indoor and outdoor banqueting space which can host conferences and social events. It also features the award-winning Indian and all-natural Jiva Spa.

Dining venues include all-day dinner East India Room that caters authentic British Colonial and Bengali Zamindari cuisine; Loafer’s Café serves Victorian-style high-tea; and The Swig offers a collection of select beverages.
