Hotel Indigo, IHG Hotels & Resorts’ (IHG) boutique luxury and lifestyle brand, has debuted in Queensland with the opening of new property in Brisbane City Centre.

The hotel is located in the riverside suburb of North Quay. It opened in partnership with hotel management firm Vista Hospitality Group.

Interiors of the hotel are designed by Sydney-based interior design studio, JPDC, and reflects the transformative stories, hidden artistic flair and eclectic characters that formed the Brisbane CBD.

Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre has 212 guest rooms that feature a mixture of carefully curated artworks and textures and complete range of modern appliance.

The hotel also boasts numerous hand-painted artworks and murals made by local Queensland artists.

Dining venues include the hotel’s signature restaurant, Izakaya Publico, which serves signature grilled dishes such as Bonito Tataki and Kushiyaki Skewers, while a contemporary inspired bar, 1603, caters local beer, wine, and cocktail.

IHG Australasia & Pacific managing director Matthew Tripolone said: “Hotel Indigo has paved its way across the globe as a leader in the boutique and lifestyle category – one of the fastest-growing hotel segments.

“We know travellers are seeking even richer options to immerse in the communities they visit, and we are seeing this enthusiasm for new brands in the region from both guests and owners alike.

“We are delighted to continue the growth of Hotel Indigo with our partners at Vista Hospitality Group and look forward to opening in new neighbourhoods across the region.”

Earlier this month, IHG partnered with property development firm Siam Sindhorn, to open Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok, its first Vignette Collection property in Asia.
