British multinational hospitality company InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has strengthened its presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by opening its first Staybridge Suites in Dubai.
Staybridge Suites is an extended stay hotel brand of IHG.
Called Staybridge Suites Dubai Al Maktoum Airport, the new hotel features 262 suites, which are said to have been designed to meet the needs of guests who may be staying for extended periods of time.
Guests will also have the option to choose from one or two-bedroom suites and studios.
Strategically located, the new hotel offers easy access to the airport as well as to some of the key business districts and nearby attractions including Dubai Parks and Resorts and The Outlet Village Mall.
Staybridge Suites Dubai Al-Maktoum Airport general manager Chady Kanaan said: “We are delighted to be launching Staybridge Suites for the first time in Dubai, which over the coming months, is set to become an iconic destination for Expo 2020 and beyond.
“Designed for business and leisure travellers alike, our team look forward to creating comfortable and unique experiences for visitors of all ages and nationalities. Additionally, guests can use the common kitchen that is fully equipped with a coffee machine, oven and grill.
Other amenities offered at the hotel include an outdoor swimming pool as well as a state-of-the-art health club.
Earlier this month, IHG broke ground for its first Avid-branded property in Canada, with plans to open by spring 2022.

The 119-room hotel will have six floors and located a short drive from Toronto Pearson International airport.
