IHG Hotels & Resorts has reached a partnership with Bonnington Hospitality JLT to add a new voco hotel in Dubai.

The partners have signed a franchise agreement that involves rebranding of the existing Bonnington Hotel to voco Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers Dubai by the third quarter this year.

Bonnington Hotel is home to McGettigan’s Pub & Restaurant group.

Bonnington Hospitality and McGettigan Group CEO Dennis McGettigan said: “As a unique family-owned and operated hotel in Dubai, Bonnington Hotel meticulously provides each guest with the highest levels of personalised service and care.

“With the support of IHG’s global reach and world-class loyalty programme, we look forward to welcoming new customers seeking tailored travel experiences.”

voco Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers Dubai will be the tenth hotel of the brand in the Middle East and Africa region. In 2019, the voco brand marked its entry into the Middle East.

Featuring 208 guestrooms, the new voco hotel is located near Sheikh Zayed Road and in Jumeirah Lake Towers business district. It is also situated close to the Dubai Expo 2020 site.

Besides the guestrooms, the hotel will have dining venues, meeting rooms, gym, pool and a lounge area. The offerings are intended to suit both the business and leisure travellers.

IHG Middle East and Africa Development vice-president Matthew Tripolone said: “Since launching globally in 2018, voco has enjoyed rapid growth with multiple signings across the Middle East, and we are proud to introduce our second voco to Dubai, which is a priority market for us in the region.

“The brand offers a simplified conversion process, making it quick and easy for owners of high-quality independent hotels to become part of IHG’s system and drive higher returns thereafter.”

In February this year, IHG signed a management agreement in partnership with NR Greenwood Construction for the Staybridge Suites Bengaluru Thanisandra in India.
