InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel brand, has opened a new location in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
The 128-room property is located at the centre of the city adjacent to both the Sahil metro station and the 25km-long Seaside Boulevard.
The opening marks the debut of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand in Azerbaijan.
InterContinental Baku is designed to reflect the city’s cultural heritage. The hotel’s interiors and its facilities draw inspiration from the works of medieval poet and scientist Nizami Ganjavi.

The facilities at the rooms include Wi-Fi access, a spacious workspace, coffee and tea facilities, smart touch panels and USB ports among others.
The Presidential Suite is equipped with private sauna and fitness facilities, a terrace, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a large living space.
InterContinental Baku general manager Pawel Czerwienka said: “As the world’s first international luxury hotel brand, with 75 years of pioneering travel across the globe, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has proudly become an iconic symbol of sophistication and worldliness.
“The brand is renowned for weaving modern luxury design through its collection of iconic properties and we can’t wait for guests to live the InterContinental Life experience at the brand-new InterContinental Baku.”
