InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel brand, has opened a new location in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The 128-room property is located at the centre of the city adjacent to both the Sahil metro station and the 25km-long Seaside Boulevard.

The opening marks the debut of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand in Azerbaijan.

InterContinental Baku is designed to reflect the city’s cultural heritage. The hotel’s interiors and its facilities draw inspiration from the works of medieval poet and scientist Nizami Ganjavi.

Overall, the hotel features 128 guestrooms including six junior suites, an all-day dining restaurant and a spa with indoor pool and hammam.

The facilities at the rooms include Wi-Fi access, a spacious workspace, coffee and tea facilities, smart touch panels and USB ports among others.

The Presidential Suite is equipped with private sauna and fitness facilities, a terrace, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a large living space.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is a subsidiary of hospitality company IHG Hotels & Resorts. Recently, IHG signed deal to open four Hotel Indigo branded properties in Egypt.
