KE Hotels has expanded its UK portfolio by taking on the management of three Hampton by Hilton properties through new Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs).

The properties—Hampton by Hilton Newcastle, Hampton by Hilton Birmingham Broad Street, and Hampton by Hilton Sheffield—came under KE Hotels’ management in October 2024.

The agreements mark the company’s entry into managing Hampton by Hilton hotels in the UK. KE Hotels will oversee operations at the properties, working in partnership with the hotels’ owners.

“This opportunity allows us to collaborate closely with experienced general managers and deliver on operational and financial objectives,” said Josh Watts, Chief Operating Officer of KE Hotels.

Broader portfolio developments

The inclusion of the three Hampton by Hilton hotels builds on KE Hotels’ recent acquisitions within the UK market. The company previously added Hotel Indigo Newcastle and Holiday Inn Luton Airport to its portfolio in 2023.

With this latest addition, KE Hotels now manages seven properties across the UK.

The group’s portfolio includes hotels catering to both business and leisure travellers, such as Moxy Manchester and Linton Lodge Oxford. Future plans for Linton Lodge include a significant rebranding and refurbishment project scheduled for 2025.

According to KE Hotels, these developments align with its aim to expand through partnerships with major hotel brands and diversify its management model, which now includes both owned properties and those managed under HMAs.

Focus on operations and market strategy

KE Hotels has stated that its management approach focuses on maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency while working within brand partnerships.

The group continues to operate across various market segments and has emphasised its goal of supporting revenue generation and property performance for owners.

KE Hotels also operates six properties in the United States, reflecting its broader transatlantic presence.

Anil Khanna, Managing Director of KE Hotels, described the Hampton by Hilton properties as consistent with the company’s management objectives. “These properties fit well within our portfolio as we continue to manage a diverse range of hotels,” he said.

By entering the Hampton by Hilton market, KE Hotels has expanded its reach within the UK hospitality industry, with a focus on ensuring operational outcomes for the properties it manages.
