The transaction also expands the operator’s domestic footprint to ten Leonardo Royal-branded properties across the UK, adding to existing sites in London, Southampton, Glasgow, Birmingham, Oxford, Brighton, and Edinburgh.
Leonardo Hotels noted that the hotel will offer spacious rooms. On-site facilities at the property include Leo’s restaurant and bar venue, and a dedicated fitness centre.
For conferences and corporate gatherings, the premises provide nine adaptable meeting and function suites with an overall capacity of up to 400 delegates.
A phased £11.5m ($15.2m) refurbishment programme is scheduled for the site, aimed at upgrading the guest rooms alongside public spaces.
Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland managing director Jason Carruthers said: “We are delighted to welcome The Bristol Hotel into the Leonardo Hotels family.
