Marriott International and Beijing North Star have signed an agreement to open two new hotels in Beijing, China.  

The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, North and Beijing Marriott Marquis Hotel are scheduled to open in 2026, catering to both leisure and business travellers.  

Both hotels will be part of China National Convention Center Phase II, which spans about 780,000m².  

The complex comprises hotels, leisure facilities, retail spaces, and offices. 

The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, North, designed by Yabu Pushlberg, will offer 282 guestrooms and suites.  

It will also feature conference and event facilities spanning 968m².

Other amenities to be provided at the property include six dining venues, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, and The Ritz-Carlton Spa. 

Meanwhile, the Beijing Marriott Marquis Hotel will have 671 guestrooms and suites as well as a swimming pool and fitness centre. 

Dining options at the property will comprise a speciality restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, and a lobby bar and lobby lounge called The Greatroom. 

In addition, the property will offer 3,207m² of event space, including a Grand Ballroom, three meeting rooms, two Junior Ballrooms, and an executive club lounge called M Club. 

Both hotels will be located 20km from Beijing Capital International Airport, providing access to nearby attractions such as National Stadium, National Aquatics Centre and more.

Beijing North Star Company board chairman Weidong Li said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Marriott International, bringing their two prestigious brands to China National Convention Centre Phase II.” 

In November 2023, Marriott International and WOW Resorts announced a collaboration to open a luxury resort and residential project on Al Marjan Island in the UAE. 

Set to open in 2026, the project is planned to be developed under the JW Marriott brand.
