The Northport Hotel in historic downtown Northport village on Long Island’s Gold Coast has announced that it will begin accepting guest reservations for hotel stays from 1 August 2023.
The hotel is the first completely new luxury boutique hotel to open in the area and features 26 stylish rooms with indulgent amenities, as well as a 175-seat casual fine dining restaurant.
The owners of the Northport Hotel, who also own the John W Engeman Theatre on Long Island, describe this unique offering of theatre, a casual fine dining restaurant, and a luxury hotel as unmatched, and complemented by all that Northport village has to offer.
Celebrating a milestone
Co-owner Kevin O’Neill stated: “We could not be more excited to begin taking reservations for our future guests. This project is the culmination of years of thought, planning and constructing a property that will do justice to the beauty Northport village deserves.
“We look forward to welcoming guests and providing them with the charm and comfort that one would normally believe you would have to travel to the east end of Long Island to experience”.
To celebrate this milestone, the Northport Hotel is offering a special advance rate to guests who make online reservations by 31 May 2023.

The Northport Hotel features seven guestroom styles with features including heated bathroom floors, luxury bathroom amenities, independently controlled heating and cooling, high-speed Wi-Fi and 55″ HDTV with streaming services. The hotel also offers private lounge access, continental breakfast and complementary non-alcoholic beverages with small bites in the evening.
Maintaining a feel of the historic downtown
The building was designed to feel that it was always a part of Northport village, with traditional shingle style elements such as wood shingle siding, dormers and double-hung windows. Along with its brick base, these tie in with the existing fabric of this waterfront village.
The operable windows and porch-like concept of the front facade provide a visual interaction between the hotel, restaurant guests and pedestrians on the sidewalk, maintaining the walkable feel of this historic downtown area.
The Northport Hotel is located approximately one and half hours from New York City.
